Question for ladies (concerning the "crimson wave" and birth control).!

Question: I was on birth control since i was younger (i am now 19) because my periods were extremely heavy and irregular. This past summer (august 2007) i stopped taking them though to see if i would be ok without them. However I havent had my period since then. I have never been sexually active. I am getting kind of worried since it has been about eight months since ive had my period. Is this normal or is something wrong?? i plan to go see my doctor whenever i go home this summer from college

If you have been on birth control for a while, it can take several months for your period to return to normal. This can be because your body has to remember how to ovulate again. If you're not sexually active, you don't have to worry about pregnancy. Just see you doctor when you return home, and try not to stress. Stress can also delay your period.
