I want my tubes tied before I'm 25?!
Question: How do I go about doing this?
I really am 100% sure that I do not EVER want to be pregnant.
I also feel morally obligated to care for a living being before creating another. (adoption, in other words)
Where will I find a doctor willing to do this?
I realize that if I divorce, or anything, future partners may not be with me for this very reason.
I want it done.
***And please, none of the "you'll change your mind when you're 28" BS.

I had one kid and was divorced and 35 when I had mine done, so I had no trouble talking my doc into it. I did have one friend who had never been married and was under 30, and she had to go to several doctors before she found one. After paying copays on 3 or 4 visits, she started calling doctor's offices and asking the nurse if the doctor would tie her tubes even though she was unmarried, no kids, and under 30. It took several, but found one. You might try doing that so you don't have to keep making office visits. You might have better luck with older doctors, too. She found one that was over 50, and a Mormon who had 7 kids, so he told her he had enough kids for both of them. LOL. Good luck, I admire that you are making sure that you won't have any accidents. By the way, what area are you in? If you are in my area, I can tell you who did mine.
then go look for a doctor. its not like we can find one ffor you?

just keep calling around-my sister's doc gave her a hard time when she was about 25-even though she already had 3 kids.-
it shouldn't be up to teh doc to decide if you are too young-
but they are probably afraid of gettign sued by someone who changes tehir mind-
but inthis day and age-it can often be reversed-or the eggs can be extarcted and ferlilzyed with in vitro.....
getting your tubes tied is dangerous because you can still get pregnant...actually you are at greater risk for ectopic pregnancies....and actually i dont think doctors do that unless you had atleast one child or atleast where im from they dont
you ight be better off looking for a doctor that will preform a hysterectomy. they'll agree with that procedure more. Doesn't make much sense but for alot it works.. That's what I did at 25, and there was NO medical reason supporting my decision,,I just asked for it.Mine was done in Louisiana.
well i defiantly have to give you props for telling the truth ....about the chance of being stuck with a kid and having to spent your whole life alone...but then agian couldn't u be left alone, with an adopted child too? well that's scary..any hoot, you will be doing good for society....keep looking...i sure you will find a doctor willing to do it ...
