What can I have if medroxyprogesterone acetate did not help?!

Question: I had very irregular periods, 4 months without one etc. Doc prescribed 10 days of medroxyprogesterone acetate, 1 tablet a day. It's day 6 and nothing is happening...
If I don't get my period after another week, what can this mean? What condition might I have? 10 points

I am actually seeing a gyno for thee same kinda situation. The doctor told me that i would take the progesterone for 10 days and on the 11th i would start my period. I hadn't had it for four months and the first day i took the pill i started a very heavy period. When i went back to the doctor she said that that was good and if i hadn't have started it it may mean that my body is not producing enough estrogen and making too much testosterone. other ways you can tell if that is the case is if you are seeing darker facial hair and acne. and it gives you little cysts that form on your ovaries. you can research it on a medical website that's credible. message me for any more questions.

Low estrogen. That could mean anything, depending on your health/ age. You could be starting menopause, or have polycystic ovary syndrome, or ovarian failure, just for starters. But there are a number of other conditions that could cause this, and you still have time to start a bleed.

Your doc is the best one to answer this.

i have a friend just like that she may come one like once every 4 or 5 months her doctoor put her on birhtcontrol to regulate her periods and it helped
