After one month...?!

Question: I've been on birth control for one whole month. I used another form of protection for the entire month (as instructed by my doctor) until the LAST day of my first pack (yesterday). On that day I had unprotected sex. It was the day AFTER my period ended (my period lasted the entire last week of my pill pack). Also, I NEVER missed a pill the entire month. I took them at the same time every day (except two or three days when I took them about 1-2 hours later). I normally know when I ovulate each month, and I did not have any symptoms of ovulation.

Do you think that I could become pregnant, or should the BC be in my system enough at this point to prevent pregnancy? Also, I was at a relatively infertile part of the month, right?

I know I may just be paranoid, but I had to ask...

You can become pregnant any time of the month, but right after your period it's unlikely. I doubt you have anything to worry about, the pill should be working.

Your birth control taken like you said you have should be well in your system. Don't worry too much. You have a more likely of a chance of pregnancy before your period than you would after because all you period is, is the shedding of the linning of your uterus because you have ovulated and the body realizes there is nothing there to protect to say the least. Don't worry u will drive your self nuts......
