My boobs are sore, and they've been like this for nearly a month. Why..? Is !

Question: (Note: I'm under 18... if.. that changes anything.)

I have no idea why. The only thing it might be related to is the fact that I'm now taking new birth control pills to get rid of my period (it's always been irregular.)

But they were sore before I went to the doctor, and I can't figure out why. I'm not doing any extreme jumping, and I wear two during the day to keep them under control.

Is there anything I should be worried about?

NO, If you are not sexually active then you don't have to worry about pregnancy. Up until a woman hits her twenties, there are surges of high levels of estrogen and progesterone. This causes breast tenderness. Mostly on the sides by your armpits and right behind the nipple area. I can remember horseback riding when I was a teen and almost being in tears because it hurt so bad. I thought my boobs were going to fall off. If they are REALLY bothering you, you can either put warm or cold packs on them to relieve some of the pain. Or take an ibuprofen (Advil). It should pass with time. Just as long as you don't have any itchy, red, hot, swollen areas or any discharge coming out of your nipple, then you are ok. Plus, you need to be checking each month for any unusual lumps that weren't there before. Do it in the shower with soap so you can feel really good. Hope that help.s

Possible pregnancy.

This isn't my buisness but if you have been having sex you could be pregnant but if not don't be worried it could be just a symptm of the birth control pill. good luck! :)

Don't worry. It's nothing serious. Usually when your boobs are sore that means your about to start your period, I heard from somewhere else that sometimes your boobs will hurt a little bit when they're growing! I don't know, just don't worry & relax, you'll be fine. =)

yeah it could be pregnancy

You could still be growing. Also, when I first started on the pill (because of a medical issue), my boobs went from a 32B to a 38C in about a month and a half. So it could be a side effect of the pill making them grow.

Or it could be the side effect of the pill because it is tricking your body into thinking it is pregnant so it does not produce eggs, or ovulate. And when you are pregnant, your boobs will hurt.
