First period..?!
Question: Storys..? I dont have mine yet...and i just want to hear some girl's storys. Like how they felt, how old they were, and the symptons. It doesnt have to be long im, just interested. :]

I got mine when I was 12,
I was up at a lake and it was a couple days before the fourth of July. I knew what It was , and my mom was at a party, so I stole some of her pads, and told her when she got back. Man It was terrible. I had terrible cramps, and it was...messy! I couldnt go out on the lake at all!
heres some tips!
-Take lots of hot baths
-For school, carry extras, and change pads at lunch
-Pads that go all the way up the back of underwear are good because it often leaks on to the back.
-Tampons are great, in the extra small sizes
-Dont be afraid to tell your mom, and always, ALWAYS, ALWAYS be prepared.
i'm twelve...and i got mine when i was 11 so i was shopping at walmart and i went to the little girl's room and saw a red spot just told my mom got a pad and was cool wit it... i was supposed to get it when i am 14
hahaha i was 12 and it was my birthday in 2 weeks so.
anyways
i went to the bathroom look at my underwear and screamed
"mom im bleeding!!!'

I am 13. Got my period when i was 12 about 3 weeks before my 13th birthday.
The Symptoms I had: Discharge for 2years, cramps, head aches feeling sick, i almost threw up once.
I was at the mall with my friends. Of course i have discharge all the time s what i thought dripping out was discsrge was my period.
I was in a horrible mood once i got home because my mom wouldnt let me sleep over my friends,and i hadnt gone to the bathroom or changed my cloths into my pjs yet. I went to the bathroom and WHA BAM there it was.
I got my period when I was 12 (in the 6th grade.) I went through the whole day at school, feeling miserable, bad stomach cramps (and at the time I thought it was just stomach ache) It hurt while going to the bathroom, but I didn't understand why? I had the cramps, headache, just a miserable mood. When I got home after dinner I went to the bathroom and realized then, that I was bleeding. I had my first period for 7 days. Some lasted longer, some lasted short, and then there was one freak month I missed my period. At the time everyone told me I was pregent but I hadn't had sex yet. So missing a period can happen, if you are understand a lot of stress that can cause a delay or even a missed period. Good Luck, let me know if you want any more information!
Well mine was at 9 or 10 years old, i was kinda sared at first (i know so young) but i got used to it, i felt luky becaues i had no cramps, bloting, or anything but now im 15 and i get it all! haha its just a nother thing to wish would not to come! XD
I got mine in grade 8, like what age? 14? And I was at school and thankfully all of my friends had gotten theirs first so they had some supplies. Then I had to call my mom and just tell her. It was really hard for me to tell her because it's a big step. And I just told her, "Mom, I am now your little woman." I begged her not to make a big deal of it and she respected my wishes.
im old now (25) lol and I got my first period when I was 12. Not a big deal at all. I was home thank goodness so no embarrassing stories, but you will be fine. Honestly I have more of the symptoms that go with your cycle now being older than I did when I was younger. =) take care!

i got mine when was about to turn 12
i went to the bathroom one night and saw some wierd brown stuff on my underwear
i didnt really take notice, id forgotten the whole period speech id been give 2 years earlier
during the night i woke up once, it felt really wet in my pants but i didnt think about it and just went to sleep again
when i woke up and went into the bathroom i saw that my pants and my bed and everything was covered in blood
i called my mom who was at work and i told her what i thought was going on
she made me call my aunt
and my aunt came over and my mom came home from work
they revisited that speech and told me what to do
my mom gave me some advil for the pain and told me i could stay home from skool
i didnt think it was a big deal and it didnt hurt so i just went to school
now i think its a pain in the butt and i hate it but im lucky and i only get my period for 4-5 days every 6 weeks.

Well...I was 11 years old when I first got mine. The funny thing is that all that day long I kept wondering if today might be the day, and it was.
I was about to go to bed but had to go to the bathroom, so off I went, and I noticed blood in my underwear. Since I live with my dad, I had to tell him and I don't think my cheeks have ever turned so red. Thankfully he didn't make a huge deal about it and since my aunt had gotten me some pads earlier just in case, that was that.
I felt like such a grown-up, haha. I just kept thinking "I'm a woman! Yay!"
Well I was 13. We went to lunch at wendy's and when i came home i went to the bathroom and found out.
I was 14. And i woke up that morning w/a stomach ache. And right before I left for the bus I went to the bathroom and i had all this blood in my underwear. So I grabbed a pad and went to school. I wasn't that close to my mom so I didn't tell her. And the whole day I was totally freaked out. I felt like everyone was looking at me or something. I don't know. And guess what day that was...Sept 11th. And no i'm not lying. So all in all...it was a pretty eventful day!!
I got mine when I was 12 years old which was unexpected because my older sister had gotten hers when she was 14. I was at school on the last day of school before I had Christmas break. I was so embarassed. I did not have any cramping or anything. I kept going to the bathroom all day long to replace the tolitpaper in my panties (I wish I would have just gone to the nurse and asked for a pad). I even got a little blood on my jeans, but it wasn't noticible because it was barely anything. That first period lasted for 2 weeks(Over the years my periods have shortened in length).I didn't have another period for about 6 months. I also didn't tell my mom because I was too embarassed. Please when you get yours tell your mom. It makes things much easier.
I got mine when I was ten. What happened was that I was at my church group at wednesday night, and I had to go to the bathroom. I was wearing a pad just in case, and it turned out I got my first bloody mary! For some reason, I wasn't scared at all,I suppose it was because I read up on this kind of stuff, so I was very excited.
I'm thirteen now, so now I've had ''The Curse" for about three years now.
