What do you think about abortion?!
Question: I think that abortion is abused these days. I don't approve of using abortion as a birth control method. I think abortion should be an option for somebody with AIDS, someone who was raped, or in cases of incest. What is your opinion?

I think that its a woman's right to choose whether she wants to give birth or not. It's also her responsibility to make sure she's protected against pregnancy. Things do go wrong though, and I think that its a better option than to bring a child into the world who isn't going to be loved and cared for.

I think that abortion should continue to be a human right. I've personally seen to many babies brought into this world and get horribly mistreated. What every individual woman wants to do with her body is her right, IMO.
Sadly, abortion is often used as a birth control, however the government should not be allowed to dictate any kind of health decisions between patient and doctor. The government wasn't made by the people to be given such a power.
I agree totally. I don't think abortion should be used at all. God meant for that child to be born. If you don't want the baby give it up for adoption. Or better yet use birth control (other than abortion) to avoid unwanted pregnancies.
In some aspects of what you said i agree. but being a 16 year old girl wanting her a/b GCSE's i dont agree with what you also have said about it being a birth control. a few months ago i got pregnant, and my partner and i had no idea how. We used extra safe condoms and we didnt see any holes in any. When i got pregnant i broke down, i am so close to taking my exams that i didn't want to ruin them. I knew i couldn't keep the baby, as i would lose my whole plan for my future and i would probably lose most of my family. Harsh as it may seem but it is true.
I wasnt in the position where my boyfriend said he wouldnt have anything to do with it, because he said he would stick by me no matter what. He has been with my for 2 and a half years, still going strong. And i had decided that i couldnt take bringing up a baby. if i had it, i would not only ruin my life, but i would ruin the babies life, i wouldnt be able to feed it properly, have a nice home for it, and most of all be able to cope, and not get angry at the baby for making me lose everything. Again harsh but completely true. I had a scan at a marie stopes clinic, and they told me i was 5 weeks and 3 days pregnant, and the picture was of a blob, no bigger than your thumb. I couldnt see the baby or anything as at that point it was a cluster of cells. That was it! it helped me a little knowing i wasnt destroying a baby, i just would think that i was having a cluster of cancer cells removed or something because i felt so wrong thinking about killing a soon to be baby. I had a surgical abortion, being semi awake and that was painful as hell. i hated it, and it did make me ill for a few days.
But i think that if you are not mentally stable to have and bring up a precious baby, then an abortion should be given to you as an open option. Not have people on your back saying no you cant kill a baby. Because if you give birth to the baby, and you arent ready for it at all, not wanting it at all, you put the baby in danger, not physically, but mentally. You would drive your kid into the ground because it may have ruined your childhood/life.
Im sorry if people on here do not agree with me, because i had an abortion. But everyone is entitled to their own opinions and options. Please keep horrible comments to yourselves. The procedure has mentally scarred me as i look back and think what could have been growing inside me, i do not need grief from people who think i am a murderer.
