hiya :)

rli dnt worry about it babe, you aren't gunna start at the exact age as your mum, like my mum was 17! but then i have the signs that i am guna start any second! whe i am only 13

do you have any symptoms, like discharge or pubic hair or under arm hair? (i'm sure you will at 14) everyone is different, you will get it sooner or later, and when you do, you will probably wish that you never did (thats what everyone tells me)

why don't you talk to your mum about your worrying? i'm sure she will reasure and comfort you more than i have! good luck and happy periods!

ohh also this site might help you out - www.beinggirl.com

good luck babe!

Nothing is wrong. Some people don't start until they're 16. My mum started when she was 13, I started when I was 11, so you won't necessarily go through puberty at the same rate.

Your're fine. Everyone starts their periods at different ages. I have a 15 year old friend, that just started last week. Give it time. It will come. I promise. =P

nothing just let nature take its course.

just live life to the full and enjoy it period free whilst you can x

if you don't start before 16 is when you should start being worried

don't worry yet but if you don't get it before your 16 then go to the doctor.

theres nothing wrong..some women start early, some start later....theres really nothing you can do. you'll get it when your body's ready...till then, enjoy a periodless life!

There's nothing wrong, and there's nothing you can do except wait. There are a very few genetically mutated people who never get their periods, but they have other problems as well and actually are "intergender" -- neither quite male nor female. You didn't say you were one of these, so I'm assuming you're just a normal girl.

In that case, all you can do is wait. 14 isn't that old, either. Many people don't even start until they're 15.

It's possible that you're too thin yet. Sometimes if you're too thin, your body stops ovulation (egg production) in order to conserve energy. This happens to some very serious athletes who don't have an ounce of fat. So maybe you should try to GAIN a little weight.

Or if you've been sick a lot, your body isn't strong enough yet to menstruate. Eventually you'll build up enough strength and energy.

All in all, don't worry. You would know if something were wrong. Your body knows what it's doing and soon enough you'll get your period.

Good luck!
