Period scare???!
Question: ok i've already had my first period and all that, thtas not why i'm scared. I have a pool party next week and i'm afraidd that i might have my period. I've never really recorded my periods so i dont know when my next one is. All i know is that my first period was november 5th 2007 and it lasts for 5 days and the average time between them is 28 days, can anybody tell me if I'm going to have my period next week. I havent ever used a tampon and my mom hasnt either so that really isnt an option, help!

I calculated that your next period should be April 29th, but at your age periods are very irregular and hard to predict. I suggest that you buy tampons and use them. I understand that you and your mom have never used them, but theya re very useful, and it is never too late to try something new. If you don't use tampons, then you can NEVER swim when you have your period. You can't live in fear of it. Just buy tampons and learn how to use them. There are instructions and diagrams on how to use tampons inside the box. Buy Tampax compact pearl. I use them and I am 14. They are truly WONDERFUL! They really work. Good luck! I hope I helped! =)
P.S. If you don't succeed in putting in your first tampon correctly then don't sweat it. It took me 3 tries before I finally put one in right. Good luck hon! =)
You gotta tell me the interval between the first day of your 2 consecutive menstrual periods. If that's 28, and your cycles are regular, then your next period is on 21st April 2008.
You will be irregular for the first few years.
If you get your period around your pool party, either use tampons or moon/diva cup or NO swimming, as you will contaminate the pool with your menstrual flow.
Try Tampax Pearl Lites, they are very slender and have a plastic applicator so they are very easy to use for first timers. Just read the pamphlet that came with it, relax, and take your time. My first tampon 23 years ago took me a LONG TIME to get in correctly.
