When on the pill, does it matter if your period always comes on the 2nd day of t!

Question: During the time you stop taking the pill for several days to have your period, is it normal if your period doesn't come until 2 or so days later? It does this every time.like clockwork, I just wonder if the pill is still effective. Shouldn't it be the day you stop taking them?

No, that's totally normal. The reason you bleed is because the level of progesterone in your blood drops. It takes a day or two for this to happen once you take your last pill, so it's normal for your bleeding not to start until 2-3 days after. And yes, it's still effective.

Nope. The hormones have to dip.
I get it three days after (the clockwork bit is an advantage)
It's the same with a natural cycle- it's all about the hormones
