If you pee before you take it out it really helps.
And when you take it out relax, like seriously relax.
If you try that & it doesn't help, well when you take out your tampon is it full? If it's not full then it's harder to slide out, so if you're on a light period try leaving it in longer.
I know it might sound funny, but it might also because you've never had sexual intercourse, so your vagina is 'tighter' and that might be why too.

tlak to a doctor about the problem Good luck Sweetie! :D

your not supposed to leave them in for one.
and if your new to having your period
it might hurt because your used to it
if your not new it might be because
you left it in too long

wear pads dude.

try a smaller size.

Your body just isn't used to using tampons yet. Don't worry, you'll get used to it and it won't hurt anymore. I hope this helps.

the tampon itself might be too big. try a slim fit?

If your new to wearing them, it will hurt the first few times. There is gel you can get in a store and before you put it in cover the sides of the tampon with gel and that way it will slide right in and slide right out. If that still doesn't help, your tampon may be too big, so you may want to try a different size. Good luck.

you might be using an absorbency that's too high - even if you leave a high-absorbency tampon in for a long time and think it would be saturated, it might not be and can cause pain when taken out.

Hm, I'm not entirely sure why it's hurting. Honestly, it shouldn't hurt at all. When you take it out, it should just feel like a slight tugging. Maybe you're using a size that's uncomfortably large for you. That can be a possibility.

In other cases, which I'm really unsure about, I would suggest going to your doctor. Honestly, they'll be able to answer you're question with much more accuracy than I, or anyone else could. :)

There are no women in your life you can ask about this? You really feel the need, and the liberty, to ask such a private question in a public forum? What's the world coming to? You're gross.

Is this towards the end of your period when it is nearly finished. It hurts me then..

you just left it in too long so it expnded

sounds like maybe you're a virgin?

i'd say go with pads until your hymen gets stretched (by whatever)

maybe you should try using a smaller absorbency. if you use a too big one, it might not get filled all the way, so it would hurt.
=)
btw, you should NEVER wear them overnight, unless you are willing to get up every few hours. you are basically setting yourself up for toxic shock syndrome

Hi,

It sounds like you're a bit dry/sore. Possibly swollen and tender and pulling/being stressed doesn't help! I'd suggest getting some lubricant and putting it on a finger, and using it to reach up and over the top of the tampon and gently pull it out. Make sure your hands are clean also to reduce infection risk.

Good luck!

they are probraly too big.. like are u using super or sometimes regular could be too big, depends.. try light or just wear pads.. but it is probraly cuz your using ones that are too big

those are a few times when you don't bleed as much. try using a tampon used for lite bleeding during times like sleeping or swiming. It will hurt a lot less when taking it out.

It sounds to me like you're either using a tampon that's too big, or you're changing it too often. Try down sizing and leaving them in a little longer.

Don't get tense and nervous when taking it out or it will hurt. Calmy take it out, and if it still hurts, try different brands of tampons or go see a doctor.

Try using a smaller tampon. Even though you say you were in water if you are using one too big for your "flow" and you try to remove it without it being, um ... fully saturated it can be painful. I'd try out using smaller ones first. Have you just started using tampons? Make sure you are relaxed when you remove it also, that can help.

If this size is too big, or you put it in early on in your period, or late in your period, it could hurt to take out. he first time I wore mine, it hurt really bad to take out, but then i relized i had put it in wrong. It gets better, and you get more used to it later. You might also want to consult your doctor about it.

well dont do it in the water, making it more wet(other than your own natural wetness) will make the tampon expand more. plus when you are in the water you have less natural wetness. Water is way different than your own natural fluids. Next time try it out of the water

It depends. If its still mostly white on the tampon, (not very much blood) then it will hurt. Sometimes it hurts if theyre isnt enough moisture because its too dry.

But if your bleeding regularly, and you cant feel the tampon when its in, but it hurts to take it out, talk to your doctor.

I hope i helped, hun.

Some people just can't wear tampons. No matter what I tried, it always hurt, so my doctor told me to stop trying and stick with pads. I know, they suck, but it's better than being in pain.

Well, taking out a tampon usually hurts the most when it is exposed to large amounts of water or is in for a long period of time. This is because the tampon absorbs too much liquid(in your case, blood or water), and starts to get wider. It is best to change it every 2-6 hours. This way, It will not absorb too much blood, and will decrease the pain when being 'pulled out.' Hope this helps!

Once a tampon is inserted it starts to expand to fit the contours of your v@gina. If you remove the tampon after a short time or if you are wearing a tampon of too high absorbency for your needs then it could be difficult to pull out because it is too dry. The fact that you went swimming doesn't matter because your body is made to keep the water out. My advice is to buy a tampon with lower absorbency more in line with your needs.

It's normal for it to hurt to take it out the first few times, I know it did for me. I've been using tampons for several years now and I've never had any problems with them. Just because you've been in water, though, doesn't mean the tampon has gotten wet, so make sure you do leave it in for a few hours and that your flow isn't too light. Try using the smallest tampon you can find ("light" or "slender") if you aren't already. Once those stop hurting, you can start using larger tampons to accomodate your flow. Also be sure to relax when you pull it out, because if you're nervous then the muscles of your vagina can tense up and make it more difficult/painful to remove a tampon.
