What is happening with women in their 40's and up ? Where the heck is your s!
Question: I am almost 40 myself and while trying to "help" in the Women's Health category, I noticed how "low some of you think of yourself"!
Being 40 is wonderful, being a woman, PRICELESS and having aged with "virtues and flaws" is SUPERB ! To be alone at your age, won't surely last forever (it all depends what you need emotionally) but please, "pad yourself on the back" for everything small and big that you have accomplished !! You are all great and marvelous and whoever dares to tell you differently, has never matured with a 40 year old woman, inside and out !

Wow ! You clearly deserve a star, since I'm 39 and don't feel very "happy" today myself ! To hell with the "antidepressants"! You are truly better than pills and a therapist !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm with u...I feel good and look good!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm not skinny minnie but I'm not overly chubby.........I'm chunky but sweet and fun!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm getting up there in age but age is a number.......I feel like we have alot of wisdom and are comfortable in our skin when we are older. I am glad to be my age and can't wait to get older!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I feel better about myself,NOW, than I did when I was in my "prime" ! No worries about pleasing other people..... Just, YOURSELF !!! I feel like the most satisfied person on earth !!! Inside and Out !!!

I consider myself a very very happy woman.
The only thing that upsets me is seeing others sad and depressed.I feel like carrying them and showing them the way of happiness.
I find many people worry about what others have achieved in their lives.
Just because Julie from across the road has a beautiful house,great husband,a porche and 3 beautiful children does not make her better than me.
Is she really happy?
Not as happy as me ,that's for sure.
I love ME and what I have achieved...to others it may not be much,but to me,I have conquered many things.

i'm 52 and my self esteem is fine. the media has a lot to do with how some women see themselves.
I just turned 40 in December, and I have the best self esteem I've ever had in my life. I'm a single, divorced mom of one boy, I am self employed, clean and sober, and have the respect of self,family, friends, and clients. I do the right thing, even when noone's watching, and I have my house in order.
I am the person I've always wanted to be.
I'm almost 60 and my self esteem is doing fine and dandy, but then I've been a hell raiser all my life. My twin and I have been rebels most of our lives.
I know why some women have such poor self esteem, it is due to either an overbearing father or husband who never thought of anyone except themselves. And if a woman were to rebel, they always had the good old holy bible to fall back on, these men used it as a weapon to keep their wives and daughters in low self esteem.
My parents raised all of us to see and be seen as individuals, not as sheep who follow, but as individuals who lead.
I'm 44, and I think women in their 40's are hot babes...
But I get what you mean...it seems a lot of women my age think that "wrinkles" or other slight imperfections spell the "end of the world" when it comes to attraction...
I've always found that no matter what the physical appearance details, a charasmatic personality, and a mischievous sparkle in their eye is all they need to make me swoop all over them like a cheap suit...
