Woman question on time of the month?!

Question: when you have your period how come you always need the toilet more - no2 - and it always seem looser (sorry if tmi) so not only do you have cramps, messy blood loss but also a dodgy stomach Does this happen to everyone else?

While I cannot relate, I hope to shed some light on this for you and all the ladies who responded. What is happening is that your body is cleaning out in response to NOT getting pregnant. That means all of the stuff it stored over the last several weeks needs to be disposed of.
Tissue and fluid that was slowly building up is tossed out. Also, the body is no longer accepting large deposits of fluid either (the large bowel is the greatest contributor of fluid to the body) so, your bowel movements become frequent and a little looser.
Hope this helps!

All the time! My No2's become soft just before Im due on! nice hehe x

Hi, unfortunately I get this too lol!! It's not much fun is it? I also feel like I am constipated for the first couple of days, but I'm definitely not! I did read on some website that diarrhoea is quite normal, although i forget why it happens.

its normal to feel those feelings if you have your period..others feel more pain and they call it dismenoria.

yer i get that n i go 2 da toilet xtra 2 make sure my pad dont leak lewl

I think it's because your womb is contracting the muscles around it to get rid of it's contents. It's right next to your bowel so that gets caught in the crossfire!

Yes it happens to me too- roll on the menopause!!!

Yes it happens to me too...i don't know why....to be honest i thought i was the only girl it happened to so im happy im not!!

Hiya
Yeah I get this too. I always get an upset tummy and cramps.
Apparently its the change in hormones in your body.
It's not a good time is it ladies?
Ah well... at least we don't have an ugly bit of meat there instead :)

Yes it happens to me for the first couple of days. Also towards the end of my period I need to wee all the time - I think it's my body getting rid of the retained water.
Oh the joys of being a woman!

I'm the opposite! My bowel movements are hard and I always need a laxative at that time of the month. I really hate that time of the month because I experience bad PMS and my doctor has put me on an anti-depressant for it now. Great to be a woman huh!!! LOL.

LOL "Ju Ju" that made me smile.

yea i get softer no2s lol its annoying...ur not alone

It happens to me when your time of the month is here you are at your highest with hormones and unfortunatley with women our hormones literally affect our whole system. perfectly normal i can assure you.

well your body holds water more,so hence fluid retention, then your body starts its period and the muscles relax, hence peeing often, also the bowel is very close to the womb,so the muscles contracting can cause the bowels to work a bit more.
hope this helps
