Because there is a risk of infection. You're not supposed to have sex, or take a bath, or go in the ocean... things like that since it exposes your wounds to infectious material.
Trust me, you don't want to contend with a uterine or vaginal infection as a result of not taking care of yourself after an abortion. You're uterus and sex organs are vulnerable to infection right now. The less you expose them to anything the better.

Well you need to give your lower body time to heal! And also there is an infection that can get started! If i were you i would not have sex for over 3 weekes to be on the safe side!
