Colopscopy and HPV?!
Question: Colopscopy and HPV!?
I was recently told i have HPV (the kind the causes cervical cancer) and now im told i need a colopscopy to see if everything is tumbs up or tumbs down!. i was wondering if any women here have gone through the same thing and how was the colopscopy and the outcome!? any info is appreciated!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I have never had one, but I have assisted with hundreds!. It isn't to terrible, so I am told!. The main thing they do is check to see if you have any abnormal cells with a microscope!. If they are found, then they will do a quick biopsy!. It is just a tiny little piece of tissue that they take,and it can cause some cramping when they take it!. Chances are, you only show signs of the possibility to get cervical cancer!. The big MAYBE you can, MAYBE you won't!. This is not so bad, they can keep an eye on you and, with regular paps , you can catch it fast!.
What happens is, they will have you sit on the chair/stirrups,and the doctor will put the speculum inside to open you up!. Then, she will use a solution to clean off the mucus we all have there!. Then,she will look at your cervix for any abnormalities!. If she sees any, she will then swab your cervix with an iodine solution to make sure it is sterile, and take this long skinny biopsy forceps and take a tiny sample!. After that, she will probably do something called an endocervical curettage!. This is a scraping of the inside of your cervix!. Again, there might be slight cramping!. Remember, if you feel any bad pain, to tell the nurse or doctor!. After all this is done, they will put some medicine on the sites!. This will close the wound, or, stop the bleeding!. It does look like coffee grounds, but its just medicine!. You should be good to go after that!. No baths for a week, no sex for a few days, and sigh, back to work as soon as you are done, if you have no complications!.
The results can take about 10 days to come back!. After that, you will be phoned, or a letter sent!. and whatever you need to do to follow up will be explained to you!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

DNT HAVE HPV BUT I HAD THA COLPOSCOPY!.!.!. VERY UNCOMFORTABLE BUT NOT REALLY PAINFUL!.!.!. THE WEIRD THING IS WHEN DISCHARGE THE COLOR OF COFFEE BEANS COMES FROM YOUR VAGINA FOR A WEEK STRAIGHT!.!.!. GOOD LUCK!Www@Answer-Health@Com
I had the colopscopy and biopsys done it doesnt really hurt just uncomfortable feeling and the biopsy was a little painful but bearable and you have a gross very dark discharge for a week or so after!!!Www@Answer-Health@Com
