Sounds like bacterial vaginosis!. It is a non STD that can be treated with a prescription cream or pills!. See your medical provider!. Douching can make it worse by washing out the good bacteria that keep you healthy!.!.!.check out this info!.!.!.!.

Once you start puberty a white and/or clear, non-foul smelling discharge (mucous) is normal!. The vagina is self-cleaning!. You will also have your own 'scent' (musky) and it will smell stronger to you than to others!.

This same discharge increases the closer you get to ovulation and when you are sexually aroused!. Trust me, you don't ever want it to go away!.

If it's drying yellow, you are fine as that will happen when the discharge is exposed to air!. If it's coming out yellow, you probably have a bacerial infection!. You can get one at any time, even if you aren't having sex!.

Different Types of Discharge:

White: Thick, white discharge is common at the beginning and end of your cycle!. Normal white discharge is not accompanied by itching!. If itching is present, thick white discharge can indicate a yeast infection!.

Clear and stretchy: This is "fertile" mucous and means you are ovulating!.

Clear and watery: This occurs at different times of your cycle and can be particularly heavy after exercising!.

Yellow or Green: May indicate an infection, especially if thick or clumpy like cottage cheese or has a foul odor!.

Brown: May happen right after periods, and is just "cleaning out" your vagina!. Old blood looks brown!.

Different types of infections:

Signs of yeast infections:
White, cottage cheese-like discharge
Swelling and pain around the vulva
Intense itching

Signs of bacterial vaginosis:
A white, gray or yellowish vaginal discharge
A fishy odor that is strongest after sex or after washing with soap
Itching or burning
Slight redness and swelling of the vagina or vulva

Signs of trichomoniasis
A watery, yellowish or greenish bubbly discharge
An unpleasant odor
Pain and itching when urinating
Most apparent after your periodWww@Answer-Health@Com

i heard that women are sensetive to their own body odor!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

We're more in tune with our own smells than other people, so while you may think you smell bad, others might not be noticing it!. The normal smell is caused by pheromones (sp!?) which are designed to make us more attractive to males!. When female dogs come into heat, male dogs can tell because of the pheromones released, it's the same sort of idea for us girls!. If nobody else notices or says anything you probably have nothing to worry about!.

If somebody does say something or you think the smell becomes worse or if you simply just want piece of mind, visit a doctor, it could be a simple yeast infection or it could be another type of infection!. See what a GP says and go from there!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Summer's eve!. Douche after every time you get your period!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Douching can actually make the problem worse!. It's like putting deodorant on top of funky underarms!. It also can dry out your nether regions!. I had this problem once and found that when I switched soaps (I was using Summer's Eve for sensitive skin; I switched to just using Olay with shea butter), the odor went away!.

I went to the gynecologist and everything and she said the tests they ran came up clean!. All I had to do was switch soaps!. Go figure!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
