The hymen is a small layer of skin covering the vagina entrance, it can easily be seen by using a small hand held mirror or spreading your legs in front of a large mirror!. Not every girl has a fully intact hymen before they have sex, it can be broken by activities such as gymnastics and horse riding!. The hymen is also very stretchy so sometimes women don't bleed the first time but bleed the second time and times after that!.
