Question: !.H!.RT!. and having a 'period'!?
after a routine blood test I discovered that my oestrogen levels were very low, so my doctor has put me on a low-level of oestrogen only H!.R!.T!. I have been on the tablets for a few months and I have now began to bleed, prior to having no bleeding for the past three years!. Is this normal!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

I am very worried indeed that you are saying that you are on an oestrogen only HRT!. This would only be acceptable if you have already had a hysterectomy! In women with a uterus, where the addition of a progesterone is necessary it should be added for at least 12-14 days every 28 day cycle to reduce the risk to the endometrium!. Failure to do this increases the risk of carcinoma of the endometrium!.

If this is the case you should see your GP, both to discuss the abnormal bleeding and to check the type of HRT you are actually taking!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Probably But you should talk to your Dr and have your levels rechecked every 4 months is what should be done for anyone on HRT!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
