Mirena......Should I ask my doctor about taking it?!

Question: Mirena!.!.!.!.!.!.Should I ask my doctor about taking it!?
I have never had a child, but I had a friend tell me that she was on Mirena before she had a child and is still on it!. She says that her periods are only for 1 day and she just wears a pantyliner!.

I want to know what your experiences are/were while on Mirena!? I have heard that it's horrible for some women then I have heard it's the best!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I have been on Mirena now for 10 months and so far its been pretty good for me!. My periods are much lighter, I get it every month but for two to three day!. You dont really have to worry about it just for your annual doctors visit!. I think you do have to have had a child in order to get it!. But ask your doctor anyway!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

your friend was not ON Mirena she had one inserted and yes brill for stopping periods the time it is in-situ!. A great form ot long term contrceptive but the other option is Implanon and if you are young i would say ti is the contraceptive of choice!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I dont have merania but I have the Paragaurd, I have a high pain tolerance and I almost came off the table when they oput it in me!. It was horrible I woudnt wish that on my worst enemy!. Now the Paragaudrs is supposed to make you cramp and bleed more but i havent had that problem alothough i get 2 periods a month;Www@Answer-Health@Com

I was made to believe that IUD's were not recommended for women who have not had children as their uterus tends to be smaller & can have more complications or lose the device!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
