Vaginal sore?!

Question: Vaginal sore!?
I just had my pap smear a couple months ago and it came back normal, but for the past month I've had a sore outside my vagina that hasn't gone away yet!. It's not painful, but I'm wondering what it is!. If I go back to my doctor, will I need to get another pap smear!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
If you have a non-healing, painless sore on the outside of your vagina, you're going to have to have a pelvic exam!. It's very much like a pap smear, but the person doing it is going to be checking for painless sores inside your vagina!. They will probably also take some cotton swabs, rub them on the walls of your vagina, and send them to the lab to check for STDs!. You'll very likely also have blood drawn!. Please make an appointment to see your doctor again!. ASAP!. Certain STDs can cause infertility if left untreated!. The only way your going to find out what it is, is to have it checked!. It doesn't sound anything like a yeast infection!. Yeast infection usually cause itching!. There is also a very distinct discharge that appear white can clumpy!. Kind of like cottage cheese!. Don't douche before your exam, just shower!. You should also avoid sexual contact until you find out what's wrong!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

yes mostlikely!. but there is a thing u can buy now to check for a yeast infection!. u can get it at n e department store!. check to see if its a yeast infection, then treat it if it is!.!.!.!.if its not then go check back in with your doctorWww@Answer-Health@Com

If the sore hasn't gone away, it is a good idea to go back to the doctor!. It has nothing to do with a pap smear, which checks cervical cells for cancer-related abnormalities!. There are other tests s/he will do and prescription ointments that can help!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Did you bring this sore to the attention of the physician whom you saw!? Sores directly around the pubic area can run the gamut of things: an ingrown hair, an abrasion, or much worse!. It's encouraging that you don't have any type of pain, discharge, or "clumpy" forming sores, but it's discouraging that it's been there so long!. If it doesn't go away soon, I'd recommend you see a physician for a proper diagnosis!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
