Inside every girl are tiny eggs which are needed for reproduction!. When a girl reaches puberty her ovaries start to release an egg each month that travels from her ovaries to her womb!. If the egg reaches the womb and remains unfertalized the lining of the womb sheds itself and this forms blood which is what we call a period!. It happens once a month and the bleeding can last for about 5 to 7 days!. I guess in terms of how it feels, all i can say is how it felt for me as every girl is different!. I was 12 when i got my first period and i must admit that for me it was a bit of a shock and its normal to feel a bit strange!. Thats because you realise that you're starting to move from being a young girl into being a young woman and that can be both exciting and scary!. Everything you feel will be normal and what every girl goes through!. Physically, if you're lucky, you might not feel much other than some fluid / stickyness between your legs when the blood comes out!. Unfortunately some girls (including me) also get cramps in their tummy and this generally feels like a heavy ache in your lower belly, that can last for a few hours or a day!. Also some girls feel a little bit grumpy around the time of their period but then others feel no different to how they normally feel! sometimes it feels kind of uncomfortable the first couple of days!.
when you first get it, it's best to just use a pad!. dont try to use a tampon until you're fully ready!.
once you start using tampons it wont' be so bad :)

They get it because thier body has grown enough to start producing eggs, for babys!. You period will probaly last from 3-7 days, depending on family heredity will tell you if you get cramps( they hurt alot)!. when you get it tell your mom and she will tell you what else you need to know and give you some "Products"!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

When you get your first period this means that your body is ready and mature enough to have a baby (not that you need to be having a baby at your age!.!.!.!. lol)!. When this happens an egg travels to your uterus and hangs out there for about a month (anywhere from 26-32 days) and when it does not get fertilized it is no good anymore so it has to be cleaned out of your body!. This is your period!. The lining of your uterus wall (this is what makes up most of the red blood looking liquid which your body discharges during your period) and the egg is pushed out of the body through your vagina!. It lasts anywere from three to six days and it cleans out your body to get ready for another egg to come into your uterus to start the cycle again!.
A period is sometimes painful because the muscles in your uterus contract to push out the lining and the egg!. You can also get bloated, be moody, your skin can break out, and your lower back can ache!.

when your body is ready to make babies each month the uterus gets a thick lining to protect the baby: but if the egg isn't fertilized by a sperm the lining "breaks down" and releases the egg, therefore the blood!. some girls get cramps and get moody on their periods!. they bleed 4 about a week, which is really nasty!. i think that's everything!. good luck if yours is coming soon!. :)Www@Answer-Health@Com

also, periods is NOT JUST BLOOD theres alot of other things in there!. its not a bright red color either its a brownish color!.

Well when you get you period, your body begins the jobs it needs to do to make a baby!.!.!. Wheich means that every month, your body makes a "nest" in preparation for a baby, but when the egg is not fertilized and there is no baby, the nest is shed!. The "nest" is made with blood, mucus, and uteral lining!. It comes out of your vagina for 5-7 days, and is a tad uncomfortable at first!. It feels like something is just dripping out!.!.!. Weird I know but you'll get used to it! It is not like a gallon of blood or anything but only a few tablespoons usually!.!.!. Don't worry! It's like your leaking slightly like you can't hold your bladder!. That's how it feels like to me!. Cramping can hurt!. For some girls it's slight cramps then for others it's very painful!. Just make sure to keep some kind of painkiller handy!.
