What is the best remedy for menstrual cramps?!

Question: What is the best remedy for menstrual cramps!?
Answers:
If you are like most women, you have probably experienced menstrual cramps at one time or another!. For some women menstrual cramps are debilitating, while others experience only mild discomfort during their period!. Menstrual cramps (dysmenorrhea) may be primary or secondary!. Primary dysmenorrhea occurs most often in young women who have just begun their menstrual cycles and often becomes less severe after a woman has given birth or when she reaches her mid-twenties!. Secondary dysmenorrhea is diagnosed when menstrual cramps are caused by other conditions such as endometriosis, fibroid tumors, pelvic adhesions, and ovarian cysts or by the use of an interuterine device (IUD) for birth control!.

Mydol!. You can get it at drug stores!. You can use it with a heating pad too!.
Tylenol or any pain killer should help!. I've also heard that physical exercise helps relieve them!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

i usually take a hot bath or get a heating pad!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I always use ibuprofren or acetiminophen (tylenol) if I'm going to use medication (aspirin thins your blood and therefore makes you bleed more heavily)!. Alternatives to medication are heating pads, exercise (yes, it does work once you get past the initial discomfort), calcium (in the form of vitamins, or milk/ice cream etc!.), and massaging my lower abdomen!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

heat and relaxation!. take a hot shower grab a heating pad and lay down and watch a little tv!. and some ppl say bananas but it doesnt work for me!. tylenol is my best friend that time of the monthWww@Answer-Health@Com

Aleve is the one and only pain reliever that works for my cramps!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Mine are absolutely awful lol And although you just wanna lie in bed and cry, that will make them seem worse =)

Do light exercise - Anything to take your mind off it!. Taking a hot bath works until you get out the bath! Yoga is supposed to be really good, especially curling up into a ball lol

Make sure you include a lot of calcium and magnesium into your diet; beans, salmon, whole grains, shrimp, tofu and nuts!.

Take evening primrose oil (Available at most health stores) and take regular ibuprofen every 4 hours!.

If your period continues to be painful, go to your doctor to eliminate any other reasons like a pelvic infection or Cystic ovaries etc!. They may also give you stronger pain relief!. I have mefenamic acid which is an absolute life saver =)

Good luck xWww@Answer-Health@Com
