What's the name of the birth control that allows only 3 periods a year?!

Question: What's the name of the birth control that allows only 3 periods a year!?
And would anyone recommend it!? (obviously I'll talk to a doctor about the final decision and what's right for me)

Also, I know their are a lot of downsides to taking the pill, but I have horrible cramps during the week of my period (fainted a few times, once last year, twice the year before)!. And terrible mood swings that last from the entire week before my period, the week of, and the week after!. I hate it, I have one week out of every month that I'm not a total psycho!. I've heard that certain birth controls can regulate all of these things!. Is that true!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
Seasonale, Seasonique allow only four periods a year!.

Lybrel states you won't have any periods!.

However, the other answerers state about skipping the inactive pill week, BUT you really need to have doctor approval for it, and some pills don't work well with skipping the inactive week!.

And it should not be done constantly!. Basically if you want to have less periods a year, go on Seasonale, Seasonique, or Lybrel!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Seasonal!.( I think it's 4 periods a year)-I take Mircette-but I have monthly periods!. It is supposed to have the same benefits as mine, Minor cramping, lighter flow, and it lessons your rick of certain cancers!. If you are having sex, I would totally recommend it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

3 periods a year!?
woww i want it!Www@Answer-Health@Com

im not sure of the brand that advertises the "3 periods a year" but what i would do is talk to your doctor and get the birth control that will help with the problems you have!. then you can control the periods yourself by not taking the sugar pills at the end of the pack!. when you get to the last seven pills of the pack (usually a different color) just throw them out and immediately start a new pack of pills!. but every few months take them so you do have your period!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Any birth control pill for the most part can be taken on a continual basis so you don't have periods, or to where you can take breaks here and there to have them just a few times a year!.

You should talk to your doctor about what is the best option for you!.

But Seasonale or Seasonique is the one you are thinking of!.

Its actually 4 periods a month, the one I am on is called Seasonique!. Having only a period every 3 months is great, but it does have some side affects!. You will gain wait with this pill, most of it is water weight, but everyone I know has gain some weight on these types of pills!. T"hey can also cause severe headaches and it is the main reason why I am getting off of it soon!. So check with your doctor and see if it is right for you!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Actually here's a secret that few average women know about but nearly every female OBGYN knows about!.!.!.
ANY birth control pill you take can eliminate your periods simply by skipping the "green pill days" or the sugar pills and continue to take your birth control EVERY DAY!. In other words, when you get to the sugar pills!.!. do not take them but instead move to your next packet of pills and continue taking the everyday pill!. If you do this for three months, you won't menustrate for 3 months!. Now before you give me a thumbs down thinking I don't know what I'm talking about, ask your OBGYN or google this for yourself!. My daughter is an RN and she confirms this!. My second daughter has been doing this for the last 2 years!. DO talk to your OBGYN about this!. The downside is, you'll need more refills because you are skipping your green pills and instead taking your everyday pills therefore you deplete your supply faster!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
