What can I do for cramps?!

Question: What can I do for cramps!?
Tylenol, Advill, and Midol don't help at all!. Anyone know of anything that can help with cramps!? All I want to do is curl up into a ball until it stops hurting, but of course that won't look good at work!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

When I had my period, I had very severe cramps as well!. Nothing over the counter worked for me either!. My gynecologist had to prescribe me anaprox!. It was a miracle drug !Www@Answer-Health@Com

Heat will also help!. A Heating pad or a long hot shower bath (shower with tub plugged and you sitting down)!.

And laying on your tummy is good!.

Excercising helps for some people too!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

1!. Heating pad! (found at most stores)
2!. Hot Bubble Bath! (and candles help to relax you)
3!. Try some yoga moves ( try to google them) and another way to help them is to put like a folded up cover or a couple of firm pillows under your back!. And your legs bended underneath you butt!. And stretch you arms all the way back and hold for a few minutes really help!

I know the feeling all too well- I used to often end up bed-ridden by my cramps and totally agreee that regular old painkillers do nothing!
Here are my fail-safe tips:
1) Avoid eating anything salty, sugary or high in carbs, fat, etc!. During "that time of the month", I exist on fruit, vegies, fish and yoghurt and can't recommend this enough!. If you don't put in anything that will bloat or irritate your stomach/digestive system, it seems to help quite a lot!.
2) Drink lots and lots and lots of water!. Like I mean double whatever you drink at normal times!. Don't let yourself get dehydrated!
3) If you are sitting at a desk all day, put your butt right at the back of your chair and lean forward slightly into the desk!. I find this helps me get through the day!
4) When you get home, try out this exercise that I swear by:
Lie on the floor on your back, with your legs bent up at a 45 degree angle as if you are going to do a sit-up (which of course you will not be doing!!)!. Then get someone to push against the outside of your left knee while you push against their hand!. Do this for 30 seconds on each side of the leg, for both legs!. This supposedly straightens a slightly twisted pelvis, which is apparently a contributing factor to severe period pain!. I do this about twice a week, every week!.

Hope that helps you out!Www@Answer-Health@Com
