Question: Would it be unreasonable to try to get pregnant now!?
I just had a pap done a few months ago that came back abnormal- I'm 24 years old!. I know there are many results that could come out of this, but I also know that it's very likely I would be unable to have children if cervical cancer develops!. My husband and I both want children, but we had decided we wanted to wait another year or two until he's out of medical school!. My husband was VERY CERTAIN that he didn't want to start trying to have kids for another year at least!. I go in for a second pap soon and was thinking a lot about the risk to my fertility!. If the second test comes back abnormal as well I want to ask my husband if we can get pregnant now, just in case it ends up being an ongoing problem or causes infertility!. Would it be unreasonable to ask him to rethink his decision!? I don't want him to think his opinion doesn't matter, but I would be devastated if I was never able to have a child of my own!.!.!.!.!.!.!.

i would talk to him about it now!. do not wait until you get the second test back!. even if your second test comes back abnormal, that does not mean that it will be safe for you to have a child!. better to talk about it now and know what your options are!. maybe the both of you should go in and talk to your doctor about what you can expect!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Yeah, sure you can talk to him about that!. Luckily, he'll be receptive to it!. If he doesn't change his mind, that's fine too!. Tons of people who are infertile adopt!. My aunt was unable to have children because of female issues!. She eventually adopted a boy from birth!. He's been a blessing to her!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I think you're jumping the gun a little!. One abnormal pap test does not a cancer victim make!. In fact a LOT of women will throw an abnormal screen, and then be perfectly normal on the next test!. So!.!.!.I'd wait and see what the next test says before I started panicking!. IF the next test comes back abnormal too, ask your DOCTOR what this could mean as far as fertility!. Only he or she can tell you what that abnormal test means!. (If it means cervical cancer is a likely scenario for you within the next 5-10 years, or 1-2 years, or whatever)!. He'll tell you how wise or unwise putting off pregnancy would be, and inform you of all your options!. Then you and your husband can make an informed decision together!. And remember, cervical cancer is VERY curable if caught early and treated!.!.!.so you're very wise to have regular screenings done and have insured yourself a long future!.
