Why am I spotting, and how do I stop it?!

Question: Why am I spotting, and how do I stop it!?
Here's the background:
I've been on the pill (alesse 28) for over 2 years with absolutely no problems until now!.
I've been spotting dark thick brown for over a week now!. My active pills just ended and I'm waiting to see if my regular period will start and make this go away!.
When the spotting started I also had cramps in my legs - not really in the muscles, more like the veins!.
The only changes I've made would be in the past month I started to eat healthier, exercise, and take a one a day women's vitamin!. My skin and energy level has improved a lot - but I need this to stop!.
Is it possible that I had my period early while I was taking the pill - it's lighter than a normal one but about 4 days longer!?
What causes this to happen!? & How do I make it go away!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

I think it's time to call the doc-pain in your legs is a sign that you NEED to stop taking the pill!. It could lead to blood clots, which could lead to a stroke!. I was having those when I was on Yaz, and my doctor told me to stop them immediately!. As for the breakthrough stuff!.!.!.I was on Trinessa for about 2 years, and was really happy with it, but all of a sudden I started having a lot of breakthrough stuff too!. My doc said that I just needed to switch to a stronger pill, so I'm taking a 35 dose instead of a 20!. But I'd really call about the leg pain, that's NOT a good sign!. Best of luck!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

i think that you should go to your doctor!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

This is something you should really talk to a doctor about!. Spotting can occur on the pill, but if you have been using it for 2 years no problems, this is unusual enough to investigate!. You should not get your period early on the pill - the hormones should prevent this!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

If you missed a pill, that could be the reason!. The pain in the legs, I think isn't a good sign, you should call your doctor and ask!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
