the same thing happened to me!. whether you notice it or not!. your body sweats down there and that is what causes the irritation and itching!. try using a feminen deodorant spray!. it helped me!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

LOL !! You just have to wait until it grows back !! I had the same thing happen !.!.!.if you want to continue shaving there (I still do) it gets better !.!.!.!.it's like a man shaving his face, after awhile your skin gets used to it !.!.!.but it will take some time !!

I don't shave but my hairs stay very short as I use hair cutting clippers or a bikini trimmer!. Before my hysterectomy I was told at first I would be trimmed and then after the dr!. saw me he said to the nurse I didn't need it!. He never saw me at that time down to see the hair but I had a habit of keeping myself trimmed short so he wouldn't have to dig through the hair when working on me!. I do believe in keeping the hair neat and short as it helps prevent sweating, the hairs getting fluids such as urine, blood, and discharge on them!. It helps keep the area more odor free since if there is urine on the hairs, one may want to take a shower more then once a day since the "stale urine" can create an odor in the hairs!. I hate to say this but both me and my spouse have had the experience going to nursing homes and with a lot of patients they smell like they are, well in a nursing home with others that are wearing a wet diaper!. I don't know if it's due to hairs down below or the fact that some of the nursing staff where I live are not as great!. I also have my daughter use electric trimmers to get her armpit hair and hairs down below trimmed short since they can get really smelly!. Yuck!
As for the itching you can try using some fragrance free powder such as Monistat chafing powder (not to be confused with the same medication used to treat yeast infections!.!.!. just the same company)!. If you use any fragrances you may get more irritated down there and it can cause you to question if you have an infection or just itching from shaving!. Monistat also makes a chafing gel that is also fragrance free!. The other companies usually don't make their products fragrance free from what I've seen and read on the box!. There is an exception though!. I have looked at something with hydrocortisone and it was called Vanicort I believe!. I'll look up the name and get back with you!. Also the stuff Monistat makes has hydrocortisone in it and I know it's fragrance free!. It's always best when they have powder, itching relief gel, and chafing powder gel that is fragrance free!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
