Answers:
Actually its a shot for some types of HPV (human papiloma virus), which is a sexually transmitted disease which can cause cervical cancer and genital warts!.
It's a relatively new vaccine, actually the man who invented it is a professor here at my uni, the University of Queensland in Australia!. In Australia it is given to all teenage girls and women up to the age of 26 for free!.
It's a series of 3 shots over about 6 months!. I have just had my first shot, it does hurt more than the average vaccine because it is an 'intra muscle' vaccination, meaning they have to put the needle through the muscle!. You dont have to get a physical beforehand either!.
I think it really is worth it, its just one thing you will know you are protected against!. But that doesnt mean you dont still have to worry about the many other diseases you can catch sexually!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

dude, it's so easy, you just get three shots the first one, then the second 2 months later, then the last one 6 months later!. There is really no side effects (at least that happened to me)!. I mean think, would you rather have cancer or get 3 painless shots!? They cannot refuse to give you a shot, you are just over reacting, it's all in your mind!. Take a chill pill!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Do you mean Gardisol!? I know someone who got it!. Felt like any other vaccine!. If you get it rub around injection site to thin out serum further away from shot!.!.it will hurt less!.

It was done at time of exam!. No blood test!.
No they wouldn't refuse you!.

I think considering your mother's history, it would be smart for you to get it!.

Good luckWww@Answer-Health@Com

If you're not sexually active, they shouldn't need to do any tests, but some doctors like to do a basic physical while you're there!. There does seem to be a slightly higher rate of fainting with this vaccine, compared to other vaccines, but it's hard to say yet whether this is because of the age group having the vaccines!. It's a really good idea to have the vaccine before you're sexually active, for maximum protection!.

If you are sexually active, they may want to do a blood test to check for active HPV in your system (though the body normally clears the active virus within a few weeks of infection, and there will be no reaction to the immunisation if this is the case)!. They may also want to do a pap smear and generally talk about your sexual health (any STDs etc!.) but they don't have to do this!.

The vaccine is a series of three shots, and you need to have all three to be protected!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It all depends on the person and the side effects, if you can stand needles im sure you should be fine!.

Most common effect is light headness!.

Everyone i know had it was all fine and didnt have any side effects!.

You dont need any tests of such before you have the needles!.

Theres three stages to it and thats it!.

They can not refuse you!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
