Question: How do you know if you have a UTI!?
i had some discomfort for about a month or two with peeing, but i never did anything about it!.
it went away and i havent felt pain or anything for a few months!. my sister says UTI's dont just go away so it probably wasnt it!.!.!.

UTIs will go away with time, if your're lucky and it wasn't severe!. Most need antibiotics and lots of water!. You'll feel like you have to pee really badly, then when you go it hurts!. Also, you can buy an over the counter med!. called Azo!.!. and it works wonders!. If the pain goes away, you'll know its in your Urinary Tract!. (Your pee will be orange, too!.!.)!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Believe me you would know if you had a UTI!. Does the phrase "peeing razor blades" help!? If you have discomfort when you are urinating then you should defiantly see a doctor, it could be serious!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Minor discomfort could be a simple strain of the urethral muscles or irritation at the urethral opening!. It doesn't necessarily indicate infection!.
Having had my fair share of UTI's I can tell you definitively that you WILL know when you have one!.
Most often it will HURT to urinate!. You will feel like you've held your urine for hours (even though it's been only a few minutes), and when you do finally go, it'll only be a little bit of urine that you release!. You will often have pain in your lower pelvic area, and an unending urge to go!. Sometimes, if the infection has progressed to your ureters and/or kidneys you may also have lower to mid-back pain!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You would know if you had a UTI!.Discomfort is not the word for it!. Its like peeing fire and you have the urge constantly!. I sat on the toilet and cried and I am an adult!
You might be eating or drinking something that irritates your urinary tract!. Did you have alot of citrus!? Too much alcohol!?
You should see a dr though!. It could be a female issue that you don't want to ignore that might affect your future reproductive abilities!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

UTI's can be very painful, but usually don't start off that way!. Symptoms are painful urination, feeling like you have to go all the time, but nothing really comes out, bright red streaks of blood in the urine, possible lower back pain from kidneys!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
When I had a UTI i had to pee CONSTANTLY, it burned while I peed and was uncomfortable afterward, I always felt like I had to pee but partically nothing would come out, also my pee was really cloudy and smelled disgusting!. Sounds like TMI but those are symptons of a UTI!. I would still recommend you go to the doctor tho just to be on the safe side, because an undiagnosed UTI can turn into a bad kidney infection!.
