Women and rectal exams?!
Question: Women and rectal exams!?
My girlfriend got back from the gynecologist and claims that the doctor gave her a rectal exam this time around, unlike previous times!. She is 24, so, she doesn't fall into the 40+ age bracket where this exam is expected!.
This actually isn't the FIRST time a GYN has given her a rectal exam, but out of six annual visits so far, she has had two rectal exams!.
Why are doctors inconsistent in performing or not performing this exam!? What are other women's experiences with this!? Are doctors inconsistent, or do they pick a policy (rectal exams every visit, or no rectal exams ever) and stick with that!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Who ever said there was an age bracket for a rectal exam!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!? Doctors dont do the exact same thing every time you go into them!.!.!.if this was the case we would see robots!. depends on what is wrong with ur girlfriend!?!? They may be looking for something!. my regular gyno never gave me a rectal exam !. never!. it did happen to me when i went to the emergency room and they had to give me a vaginal exam!. it totally cuaght me off gaurd!. i dont think its right!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
