What do you do when midol fails?!

Question: What do you do when midol fails!?
How do you get rid of some of the pain of those darn monthly cramps!? PLEASE helpWww@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
There's a 9 month solution, but it ends with pain worse than mense cramps LoL Ok, sorry I had to say it!. Anyway, I haven't used Midol since I was a teenager for cramps!.

I use Motrin now (around 600 mg of it, 800 mg max and always eat something or drink milk with it to prevent tummy upset)!. Motrin is an anti-inflamitory which seems to work much better than Tylenol, which is not medicine that helps reduce swelling or inflamtion like Motrin does!.

I've read a few times that there is a B vitamin (B6 or B12) that Doctors discovered if women with bad PMS symptoms take the vitamin at least 2 days before menses start - that it greatly reduces the horrible side effects of PMS!. You should ask your Doctor about it, or look it up online to learn more about it!. Just type in something like 'B vitamin PMS' on google!.com

I've done everything from heating pads, someone to massage or press against my lower back and buttocks, placing a pillow or something firm (stuffed animal, rolled up blanket) yet soft enough to not hurt under my lower back when laying flat, curling up in a fetal position while kneeling (butt in the air, knees tucked into your tummy with or without the added pillow clutched to your gut) and head down!.

Motrin, warm drinks like tea or hot cocoa, stretching ALOT, yoga, benadryl to help me sleep through the night when crampy (one 25 mg pill of Benadryl), and there is another (private) thing that helps but I don't know if you are old enough to do that LoL !.!.!. You can look up 'homopathic cures for PMS' on google, or 'natural cures for PMS', but don't buy anything offline from some shanky web site!. Go with a decent site that tells you what things are safe to try without charging you any money!.

* Personally, I would try looking up PMS on webmd!.com

There is also medical things you can try such as starting birth control (but that in itself carries it's own possible side effects and dangers to the body sometimes)!. B vitamin shots, PMS medicine that only a Doctor can prescribe, and last but not least 'muscle relaxers' which relax the cramping muscles!.!. you could ask your Doctor about that (I would start with the lowest doses possible until you find what dose works yet is safest for you)!. Muscle relaxers can become addictive, and can also have side effects (same with Benadryl, tylenol, midol, and motrin)!. Again, talk to your Dr!. about it!.

Well dove, I hope something helps you out!.

P!.S!. Motrin in the generic form is called ibuprofen
(thanks to the one who reminded me!)

Edit: I just need to add that women in the Medieval era, did have remedies for PMS, and their menses (period)!. Richer women would use drops of laundum (spelling), smoke opium, and use other medicinal aids!.

Peasants had home remedies passed down from generations worth of women in their family, plus usually a woman in the village who was in essence the 'midwife' who used herbs, and other things found in nature (some hard core drugs made from various plants or other things)!. The midwife also treated wounds, birthed babies, and treated illness!.

So, no you do not need to accept it and move on!.
Because the women in the Medieval days certainly did not!.
