Folic acid?!


Question: Folic acid!?
is 1mg(1000ug) of folic acid a day to much!? If so why!?

It's on the high end!. The RDA for folic acid is usually from 400-600 micrograms per day for adults!. If you're planning a pregnancy and have reason to think that you might be at risk for a kid with neural tube defects, it can be appropriate to go up to 4000 micrograms per day!. You shouldn't go up that high without a doctor's advice!.!.!. it is possible, albeit unusual, to OD on folate!.

Keep in mind if you live in the US that a lot of your food is already supplemented with folate!.!.!. so take that into account when considering yoru dosage!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
