im 15 and thinking about getting the contraceptive injection !.!. i was just wondering if there any girls/women who have or had it and wat are the dis and adv about it !?

Hi i am on it right now but getting of it this coming month i try it only one time did not work for me made me gain 15 lbs in less than a month and a half bad i mean really bad mood swings no period do thats sort of good but still spotting a lot i have read a lot of responses to this question and most are negative although you have a few good experiences it work for some people but seems like for the majority it does not work give it a try if you want to but i am not recomending it google it and read or go to md!.com and research it you are to young for these that is just my opinion maybe try the pill instead but its you personal choice search for it here on yahoo questions and read other peoples experience for me it has not been that bad my problem is only the weight so far and my moodiness besides that not so many problems but i rather try something else to see if it worlks better if you don't have a stable parner i mean like living with someone permantely and its only occasional sex go with the condom better no hormons equal no side effects and protect you from diseases

Do not get it!
It has been proven to reduce bone density levels, and that is not reversible!. You are still forming bone mass!. If you get this shot at your age, you can mess up your bones for the rest of your life, and would be at a greater risk of osteoporosis!.

EDIT: What type of pill were you allergic to!? There are all kinds of birth control pills on the market!. Maybe the dosage was just too high for you!. The hormone levels are different in each pill!. If you have a problem with estrogen, there are progesterone-only (or mini) pills!. This would be a better option for you!. If you are allergic to progesterone, you shouldn't get the shot!. That is what the shot contains!.
I have a problem getting rashes from some condoms, too!. It turns out that I have a latex allergy!. There are condoms on the market that are latex-free!. Give those a try!.

DO NOT get this shot!. IT treats a lot of women horribly!. There are class action lawsuits against the makers of this shot for all the horrible health problems women have on it!.

at your age its not good to take any contraceptives specially injectable!.!.!.!.injectable will last for 3 mos which not good to your body hormones and health!.!.!.!.be in condom!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
