Lump in my armpit?!
Question: Lump in my armpit!?
So yesterday I found a little, painful, tender lump in my arm pit, it's about pea sized!. I am seventeen and have had a cold for the past week and have been taking echinasia for it!. I called my mom and she wants me to go to the doctor tomorrow; any ideas what it might be!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

If you shave your armpits, you have inf lammed the skin!. I've had little lumps/pimples!. I'm guessing it's normal, but I agree with your mom!. Go to the doctors!. They usually know best!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
I've had a similar problem to this, i found a lump in my underarm a little bigger than a pea which was sensitive and hurt when touched last year when i was 16!.
I was worried it would be something sinister but when i went to the Doctor he examined it and said it was most likely an inflamed hair folicle under the skin!. He prescribed a fortnight course of anti-biotics and then it went!

It would be very good for you to go to the doctor since lumps in the armpit are something you check for when you give yourself a breast exam for cancer/abnormalities!.
Chances are, it could just be in ingrown hair!. I had a lump that scared me senseless, but it went away!. :)
It's always better to check with your doctor to be on the safe side and be at ease!

my first thought when i read this was lymph nodes!. lymph nodes become tender and swollen when your body is trying to fight an infection (such as your cold you have now) so it's perfectly normal!. you have them under your arms, and also in your groin area!. i notice the ones under my arms get sore when i'm sick or getting sick!. it's nothing to worry about! your body is just doing it's job!. good luck! and i hope you feel better soon!Www@Answer-Health@Com
My best friend's daughter had several under her arm and they were abscesses!. She had to have them cut, drained and stuffed with cotton while they healed!. Her other daughter had one on her stomach, and because it wasn't that bad, they put her on antibiotics!. (The ones under her arm were from blocked hair follicles or something)!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
It could be just a swollen lymphnode!. I know I spelled that's probably spelled wrong!. I have a lot of allergies and mine get swollen lots but I have never noticed one there!. I am pretty sure you have them there though!. Best to check it out though!. Breast Cancer can happen at any age!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
It can be different things!. You have to see a doctor!. Sometime it can be cysts, lymph nodes, an abcess etc!. Only a doctor can tell you/ She/he needs to feel it and see it!. Don't stress over it just see a doctor!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
probably swollen lyph nodes, it very common!. especially after a cold!. It will be okay, the doctor may give u antibiotic or may let them go away on their own!. If thats what it is!. good luck : )Www@Answer-Health@Com
I have and know people who have this!. And all of them were caused by deodorant!. Too much can clog the pores and cause this!. Yes its true!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
