Do they still check u if you aren't sexually active!?
Can I request not be checked!?
I want birth control so do they HAVE to check me in order to prescribe me this!?

Even if you are not sexually active, it is almost essential for the gyno to do a pelvic exam to make sure everything looks normal down there!. Just like any other prescription drug, birth control has side effects and different people react differently to it!. For most it is a trial and error process until they find one that they like!. You doctor will most likely strategically pick one for you that he thinks will worked the best based on your medical history and your body!. The exam really isn't a big deal, and if you are ready to start birth control, it is wise to have an exam!. I am really not sure if it is REQUIRED, but I would suggest it!. I am sure you can request not to, but it never hurts to know what is going on down there!. Especially if you start having weird symptoms or something once you start, they can compare it to the normal exam you had beforehand!. dont be afraid to be examined!. this is what they do and have seen everything you can think of!. shaved, bushy, pretty, stinky, hairy, pimply, bruised, bloody, pierced, saggy, dischargey, ugly, perfumed!.!.!.an exam, which they are required to, is not painful!. basically, you lay down, covered with a drape, feet apart, they insert a speculum to open your vagina so they can see your cervix, (this may be a bit uncomfortable if you are clenching and tense) and use a long cotton swab to gather a small 'sample' of your cervix tissue!. this doenst hurt!. if you cant trust and allow a doctor to examine you, you shouldnt be having sex and therefore not need birth control!. its not so bad!. gotta get used to it sometime, got the rest of your life, every year, to get examined!. not so bad, rrrrrrrreally!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yes, they have to do a pelvic exam and pap smear before prescribing birth control pills!. Don't be scared or ashamed!. The doctor covers you with a sheet and nothing is hanging out exposed!. It's fast and painless and you'll be out of there in no time at all!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
