I wonder if the real reason this disgusts you is because, in your mind, maybe unconsciously, you associate your sister's getting her first period with the beginning of her sexuality and her transformation into a woman!. It's something like imagining your parents having sex!. Most of us are entirely disgusted when we realize that our parents had sex in order to conceive us!. We just aren't used to thinking of them in that role!. Similarly, it sounds like you may have a somewhat motherly connection with your sister and, as such, you aren't used to thinking of her as a sexual being either!. Therefore, now that she's begun her sexual development, it's a bit of a shock to you, just like it would be to think of your parents having sex!.

I wouldn't worry too much that you're thinking about this so much!. I'd be willing to bet that, if you give it a few weeks, other things will soon occupy your mind, and you'll find that you've adjusted to your sister's new status as a "woman!."Www@Answer-Health@Com

You need to get over it!.

Your little sister is always going to be younger than you, but her body is going to change the same way yours did!.

Focus on your own life, get over any hidden jealousy about being the biggest, older, wiser sister, and accept that she is becoming more like you!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

aawwwwww I actually felt the same way when my sibling went through puberty!. It's becuz they are younger than us and to us they will always be like little children and we can't ever imagine them growing up and becoming an adult!. You'll get used to it eventually, don't worry! And talk to her, ask her if she needs and advice or anything!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Not sure what you are asking!.!.!. but you should comfort your sister and give her some support as her older sister (assuming)!. She is now a woman! It's a beautiful thing to signify that everything physically is working and that she is growing up!.

What is there to be disgusted about!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

You're both in puberty, just talk to her about it, share your thoughts and stuff!. She's probably a bit scared, she may appreciate your input, how to deal with stuff like bloating and cramps!. You'll only be young once, share all you can!. Be thankful you have a sister!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Just because she has her period doesn't mean she can't still play and fun and be a kid!. You're used to your little sister as being young or a baby!.!.!.and this change makes you see her in a more!.!.!."reproductive" light :) It's all part of growing up and you should accept this and move on! No big deal!Www@Answer-Health@Com
