If I go to a waterpark on my menstrual period, do I have to use a tampon?!

Question: If I go to a waterpark on my menstrual period, do I have to use a tampon!?
In a few weeks the class is going to a waterpark for the eighth grade promotion trip!. Just in case I get my period on that day, do I have to use a tampon, or will a pad still work!? I've never used a tampon, so if I do have to use one, could you tell me if it hurts, how to use it, tips, etc!.!?

Thank you soooo much!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yes sweetie, you would have to use a tampon!. It's a shame you didn't ask this question earlier or else we would have told you to practice with periods earlier!. It's kind of almost impossible to try to insert a tampon and practice when you don't have your period!. Get a light flow absorbancy - you may have to change it more frequently, but it's easiest to learn on!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I had this same exact problem! You might be able to get away with wearing a pad, but it's not the best choice!. It could come off on a ride or somethign and that would be really embarassing!. Tampons DO NOT HURT! im 16 and i've been using them for a few years and i promise they don't!. i would recommend tampax pearls or another brand with plastic applicators!. this may sound gross, but i recommend using a mirror to help you the first time you try to put one in!. it's a lot easier and less stressful! read the instructions on the box and then use the mirror to find the places they're talking about!. hope this helps!Www@Answer-Health@Com

use a tampon, u'll love them! they dont hurt at all if you use them right and put them all the way in, im not saying you wont feel it if u think about it but theyre much more comfertable!. a pad may work but they leak when u get out and thats really embarrassing to have blood on ur towel!. i recommend using a mirror the first few times its weird but it helps so much at the beginningWww@Answer-Health@Com

Yes you kinda have to use a tampon i mean you wouldn't wanna swim in someone else's menstrual blood!. pads just wont do im afraid!. dont worry about tampons buy some at the store and if you get your period before the trip have a practise, remember to relax and to change it every 8 hoursWww@Answer-Health@Com

A pad would work but!.!.!. ew! It would get blood in the pool unless ur bathingsuit bottoms were reaelly tight!.!.!. I would invest in some tampons! It doesn't hurt to use a tampon!. It is just alot of pressure!. I stand up with my knees bent to insert it!. It is easier for me like that!. You can try standing with one foot on the toilet, sitting down, even laying down!. When you go to insert you need to be relaxed and have ur muscles loose(like the muscles you use to stop peeing)!. Take deep breaths the first couple of times to relax urself!. you may want to wear a pantyliner with it if you are going to wear it outside of the pool to help prevent leaks!. I would suggest using tampax pearl tampons because they are easy to insert and they don't leak!.

Good Luck and have fun at the water park!!!

Use a tampon!. A pad will soak up the pool water and eventually stretch the crotch of your suit down and maybe fall out!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

YUCK!!!!!!! A pad in the pool!?!? Um !.!.!. NO!.

A tampon will still get wet!. They don't hurt!. They have instructions on the package for first time users!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

This depends how wet you will get at the park!. Will you go on rides that you end up going into the water or will you be splashed alot on your pants!? Maybe you can ask a teacher (just say you are scared of water or that a friend wanted to know if you're worried about asking!.)
If you want to use tampons, then buy a pack of them and read the directions so you understand how to put it in!. It can be tricky to figure out!. You can even take a tampon out of the box and pop the white tampon part out so you understand how it works!. Then throw it out!.
To put in a tampon, remove it from the wrapping, poke the end of the applicator (the end without the string) into your vagina (the hole the blood comes out of, not your butt)!. Hold it in the middle as you poke it in, then use your other hand to push the applicator up all the way!. Then pull the applicator out!. the tampon will stay in and the string will hang down!. If it hurts alot, it's not in correct!. Pull it out and try again!.
change the tampon after a few hours even if it is not full!. Otherwise it could make you sick!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
