Why did the doctor test me for STDs?!

Question: Why did the doctor test me for STDs!?
Recently I went to get a Pap Smear!. I told the doctor it was my
first time and I am still virgin before she performed it!. After she
had did the exam!. I asked her about my Hymen she said my Hymen was no longer there!. Then she is typing on the computer!.
She said by mistake she put to test me for HPV and Chlamydia
because They are required to test girls 18 to 25 and she thought I was 25 I am 26!. Why did she do that when I told her
I was a virgin and she said I am a Virgin even if my hymen is gone!. Some people say it was illogical what she did what do yall think!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I would worry about seeing a Doctor that doesn't know how old I am!!!

As far as the testing that she did without your permission; I'm sure your insurance company would be very interested to hear about that!. Insurance fraud carries a pretty hefty fine and makes everybodys insurance go up!

Lastly, I hope you have the sense to change Doctors!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

First of all the hymen can tear during phys ed or swimming etc so that could account for that, also if you use tampons!.
I see little reason to test you for the STDs!. It sounds as though she may have just been sticking to a health policy to me, without considering what the history you gave her!.
You could always ring ur clinic and ask the doc!. Hope this helpsWww@Answer-Health@Com

you will be fine!. its just standard practice!. I'm not saying that she thought you were lying!.!.!.!.!.!.but you will be surprised to know how many girls lie even to their doctor about sexual activities!. besides that, its always better to be safe!. your doc did the right thing!. even if you never had sex, there are bacterias everywhere!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I don't understand what you're confused about!.

She said they are REQUIRED to test girls 18 to 25!. And she THOUGHT you were 25!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

well i guess she just wanted to be on the safe side!. its okay youll be fineWww@Answer-Health@Com

The primary reasons that come to mind are:

1!. Most commonly, it's just common practice!. While both are generated through sexual contact, even a VIRGIN can have sexual contact without penetration (rubbing of the genitalia)!. So transmission COULD still feasibly occur without actual intercourse!.

2!. She might have ordered them because some women lie about their sexual history, and she's just making sure that all bases are covered (as well as her legal @$$)!.

3!. She might have ordered the tests because she is told to do so (the office policy) with EVERY pap smear regardless of sexual history!.

4!. The more sinister answer would be that she might consider the possibility that you had sexual contact (i!.e!., molestation) when you were too young to remember or have blocked it from your memory, and she's just covering herself AND you!.

Don't read too much into it!. Frankly, this is a question you should have asked HER!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
