Question: Should I begin taking the birth control pill or wait for my period to pass!?
Ok, so yesterday i went to planned parenthood for a birth control pill consultation and i received my subscription!. I took 2 pregnancy tests to make sure i wasnt prego!. Im supposed to be getting my period in the next couple of days!. she said i can start taking them today and it will push my period till next month!. Is that ok!? or should i wait for my period and then take it!? I know she said its ok and its one less period i gotta worry about but i dunno :/Www@Answer-Health@Com

I think its easier if you wait for your period and start the Sunday immediately AFTER your period starts!. That is how most birth control packs are designed to be taken!. Or on the first day of your period!. You can read the information that came w/ your pills to find more details about what I mean!.
And remember, you're supposed to be on the pill for one WHOLE cycle before you stop using a backup method of contraception!.
