Question: My mom has a swollen lymph node(in neck) WHY IS THIS!?
Well, she says it just hurts when you push it and i pushed it and it feel way in the back of her nack, like a golf ball!. she has had it for a while!. she does not have a cold or flu!? what could this mean!? tell me!. oh ya she is 43 years old, still has her period and is not pregnant if it helps!. thx!Www@Answer-Health@Com

It could be cold or infection because your nodes swell when your body is fighting off one of these!. Or it could be something more serious like a thyroid problem or a tumor (either cancerous or not)!. She should go have it looked at!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
There is a possibility it is just a cyst- a build up of calcium in part of her body!. A lot of people get them in really odd places, like their ears!. If it doesn't go away, however, it would be advisable to go and get it checked out just in case!. If it does not go away, there is a chance that it's a benign tumor, although this is not something that you should jump to conclusions about!. If it does not go away within the month (or maybe earlier, depending on when it appeared), I would advise you take her to a doctor!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
it could be a number of things, it could be some kind of hormonal imbalance, could be a deficiency of a certain vitamin or mineral!.!.!.!.

Probably just fighting off an infection or has a blockage!. If she's had it for longer than a week or two, she needs to see a doctor!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
