How To Cope With Your Period At School?!

Question: How To Cope With Your Period At School!?
Alright so I am 14 and I absolutley HATE going to school on my 2nd and 3rd day of my period, so I usually stay home!. But the thing is, my period is going to start around the time we start doing CRT testing, and I CAN NOT miss those days!. What can I do to make myself feel more comfortable at school!? I wear tampons, but they always seem to leak, so I am trying a new brand, but I still have that fear that they will leak!.!.!.!.and we can't have purses in class(For some stupid reason that I don't know) so I can't really carry tampons in my purse!.!.!.!.what can I do about that!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

You can't cary a purse!? You need to take that up with your parents and have them say something!. That idea is stupid!. Don't they understand that girls have period and don't want to publicize that they need a tampon!. Also, try Playtex Sport!. They're great!. I also like the tampon-in-bra idea!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

well, why don't you use pads!? Use the super long and thick ones!. and can't you carry them in your backpacks!? I'm pretty sure if you talked with your teacher, she won't found anything wrong with that!. After all, it is natural!.
Usually when that happens to me, i just try to ignore it!. It can be uncomfortable sometimes, but it is the woman's curseWww@Answer-Health@Com

The simpelest thing when you are about to go to school in the morning put a tampon on then bring and extra one in your pocket, or bring a pad (they're flat and hardly noticiable!.) If you have to change during the CRT's go up to your teacher and tell him/her (best it is a girl) that you need to use the restroom for feminine needs!. Your teacher will get the picture!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Okay so you use tampons that leak!? try using a ULTRA THIN SMALL pad!. They won't feel like diapers!. And if it makes you feel better go to the bathroom in the nurses office (I'm sure they have one) and change there!. Just tell her its girl stuff and she will understand! (Go in between classes and she will give you a pass or something)

Ohhh you know where you can hide tampons/thin pads!? Your bra, seriously!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

On the first few days of my period , it is just as heavy as yours!. I found that playtex gentle glide works better and holds more than tampax pearl!. On those few days I wear a super/super plus tampon and a pad!. I can then go twice as long!. Hope this helps!Www@Answer-Health@Com

can't you just wear a tampon and a pad for like 2 days!? get over the feeling of a pad and just wear it!.
Its worth it cause you won't leak through if you dont have time to change your tampon during your testing or whatever your doing!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

relax i know its hard use different size tampon or towel and there must be some place for you to take them with you or give them to school nurse or equivalent to keep for you its not the end of the world there will be away around it good luckWww@Answer-Health@Com

I would suggest wearing pads!. I know you probobly don't want to, but to me they work better!. Wear two pads, one at the top and following behind it another!. Then you won't leak in the front or the back!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

stash them in your locker and backpack and everywhere you can!. And take ibuprofen for cramps!. And maybe buy some panty liners to catch any leaks!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

wear a tampon and a pad, also just explain to your teacher why you need your purse and ask if she can just hold it for you during the testWww@Answer-Health@Com

ok if you ever get cought any where without a pad or a tampon, just go into the ladys room and fold tissues or toilet paper and place it on your pantiesWww@Answer-Health@Com

wear a pair of sweatpants that have zippered pockets and keep the tampons in there!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

put them in your bookbag!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

put a tampon in your pocket or wear a dress with pockets in itWww@Answer-Health@Com

It sounds like your flow is too heavy for the tampons you're using at the moment!. You shouldn't really be leaking so try to move up a size in tampons and make sure you change them within four hours or so of putting them in if you can!. As for being comfortable, get some feminine wipes because there's *nothing* worse than being uncomfortable down there!. Bulk up on ibuprofen and paracetamol if you've got bad cramps, you can take them together because they are different sorts of painkillers!. Also you didn't say when your test is, perhaps you could visit your doctor and get the contraceptive pill or something similar to stop them temporarily!. Best of luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com

well, you need to compromise somewhere!. i have heavy bleeding during my 2nd and 3rd days too!. the first thing is to take something like tylenol to relax your body!. then you need to find the right underwear and pants to wear so that you have the right amount of support in that area!.

and finally, you need to definitly wear pads!. if you are leaking, you need to realize that!. ALWAYS LONG ULTRA THIN with WINGS are fantastic! i am a heavy bleeder and i need to change every 2 hours!. these are great for my first 4 days!.
and because they are thin, they fit perfectly in my back pocket of my jeans!. no one can see them and you will always have one!. you should definitly keep one in your pocket durin the first half of the day!. and at lunch, you can put another one in your pocket for the second half of the day!. that should be good!.

if this doesn't help, you should talk to your school's staff and ask why you can't have a purse to carry your pads in!. they may listen to you!.

good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com
