I haven't started my period and I am 13 days late!. I am breastfeeding and I've heard that sometime you'll have your period for a couple of months then it will go away for a couple of months, but I was just wondering if anyone has heard of this or experianced this!. I took a test when I was 4 days late and it was negative then I took one the next morning and still negative!. Could it just be because I am breastfeeding!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

I didn't have my period return until 11 months after having my son (we were nursing) and then it was off and on for a few months!.
Breastfeeding is not officially birth control, but it does a pretty darn good job of it! If your pregnancy tests are negative, there is probably nothing to worry about!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yes it could very well be because you're breastfeed and probably is!. A lot of women have no periods at all while they are exclusively breastfeeding their babies, but be cautioned, just because you're not having a period does not mean your body is not ovulating!. Use protection unless you want another baby!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Usually when women get older, their periods stop!. That's what happened to my mom!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
