Am I really pregnant or was it a mistake?!

Question: Am I really pregnant or was it a mistake!?
I had sex on April 7th( the first time in several months)!. My period came on the 9th!. It was pretty normal as far as being heavy and all that , but maybe just a little bit shorter than normal!. I went to the doctor on Monday April 28th because I thought I had a urinary infection!. That all came back negative, but for some reason they did a pregnancy test and the doctor said it was positive!. Is there anyway that they could have made some mistake and I am really not pregnant!?!? I bought a test but I cant take it for a few more days!. Please help!!!Www@Answer-Health@Com

I would definitely take another test!. False positives usually do NOT happen because the test is supposed to pick up on a hormone in your body only produced in large amounts while pregnant!.!.!. however, there could have been a mix up with your test or it could have become tainted after you took it!. Mistakes are more likely to happen in a doctor's office than with you just peeing on the stick and looking at it right away!.

The fact that you had sex right before you got your period means that you most likely were not fertile then!. You would have already ovulated for the month (hence the reason you got your period)!. The person above me who said your body would have "gone through the motions anyway" isn't correct on that!. That doesn't even make sense biologically, as the fact that you were getting your period means there should not have been an egg to be fertilized in the first place!.

Why can't you take the other test for a few more days!? If you are pregnant and it showed up at the doctor's, it will show up on the one you bought also!. Just take it!. And I'd love to know how it turns out, because if you were pregnant, that would be such a rare occurance!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

The doctor told me the tests only have like a 0!.5% chance of having a false positive!. You are pregnant!. An unplanned pregnancy can be hard to believe and deal with!. I spent the whole day looking at the test stick when I found out!.

I would suggest you talk to the father and they also offer free services with professionals where you can talk about your options, contact planned parenthood for that!.

Good luck!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

The pregnancy tests are very accurate but nothing in medicine is 100%!. There is a small chance it could be false positive (shows positive by mistake)!. I would suggest having it repeated (preferably by a blood test)!.

There is a possibility!.
However, since you just got over your period, your hormones may be still high, so it could have given a false answer!.
Just wait and use the home test!.

Hope all goes well for you!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

there are such things are false positives!. Because of what you told us I suggest you either take that at home test, or go back to your doctor for another test in a few days to recheckWww@Answer-Health@Com

It could be an error, but there are some people who have regular periods throughout their entire pregnancy!. Try not to worry for now and retake the test at the doctor's office or take the home test!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

If it was time for you to have your normal period your body would have gone through the motions even though your were pregnant, which sounds like the case!. There are some women who go through their whole pregnancy having their regular period!. But I understand how you feel!. When I found out I was pregnant I had taken two at home tests and went to two different doctors to be sure!. I now have a 6 week old son with my boyfriend of two years!. If you think the test results are wrong then go to another doctor and get a second opinion!. Also, take the at home test!. Just be prepared for whatever happens!. Being a parent really isn't that bad at all once you see your little ones face!. Good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com
