Relax! Sometimes they look at the kidneys just to make sure their are no cysts on them or other complications from the ovarian cyst that ruptured, this is normal!. Your colposcopy may cause you some cramping and discomfort if they actually have to take a biopsy!. This feels like a quick pinch or bee-sting!. The "scraping" that they do takes cells from the inside of the cervix to see if their are abnormalities as well!. You should have been instructed to take some Ibuprofen about an hour prior to the procedure and for the next 2/3 days after the procedure!. Try to relax during the procedure as it will help the doctor see what he/she needs to see!. It takes longer to set everything up and to get you cervix into view, than the actually biopsy and scrapping!. That only takes a few seconds!. Make sure you follow the directions that are given to you after the procedure!. This is a very common procedure to have done!. Try not to worry, it does not mean you have cervical cancer or anything like that!. Make sure you do have this done!!! This will give them the exact diagnosis of what is going on with your pap smear, that way if something is going on, they can catch it early!. If left untreated, it could lead to cervical cancer!. Make sure that you always go back for your re-paps when you are supposed to!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Sometimes the technicians check the kidneys because if they are inflammed this is often a sign of infection!. It is probably nothing to worry about!. It is usually quite routine!. As for your procedures i found it uncomfortable not painful!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

The ovaries and kidneys are close to each other, she may have been being thorough!.

Usually if your under an anesthetic there should be no pain!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
