So I just got birth control!. My doctor said that I couldn't start it till the Sunday after I got my period!. So I got my period this past Tuesday, and you would think, ok so take it this coming up Sunday!. Only problem is, since I have been a little more active lately, I'm worried my period won't last till Sunday, and I think she said, "you must be 'bleeding' to start the pill"!. So any advice!? Should I start it on Sunday as planned, eve if my period ends before then!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

You can actually start at any time, whether you are bleeding or not!. Starting on the Sunday after the start of your period just means that your next period (which you'll get when taking the sugar pills) will come roughly when you would have expected it anyway!. Starting on the weekend means that your periods will happen during the week, and keep your weekends period-free!.
