Question: Prenatal vitamins!?

i heard that prenatal vitamins helps hair and nails!. my question is!.!.!.!.!.!.can i take them eventhough im not pregnant!? any weird symptoms!? and what kind will be best!?

i have a pap smear appointment in a week so i will ask my doc then!.!.!.!.!.!.!.but im curious now!.
