Answers:
The amenorrhea (lack of periods) is just one of the symptoms on the list for anorexia!. You need not have all of the symptoms in order to be anorexic!. Amenorrhea is not one of the main symptoms of anorexia; the main symptoms are extreme dieting or eating very little (or nothing at all) in order to lose weight and being less than 85% of your "ideal weight"!.

Please listen to your psychiatrist!. She is an expert, but if you feel like she is truly incorrect, seek a second opinion!. If your eating patterns are indeed unhealthy, you psychiatrist will be able to help you tremendously!.

I hope I helped!

P!.S!. Don't eat McDonalds like the person above me suggested!. If you are anorexic, the amount of fat in McDonalds can shock your system, causing heart problems!. Start out by eating a healthy balanced meal that normal people eat (eat what your friends and family are eating) and later, you can safely move back to eating extremely fatty food on occasion!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Sweetie, deep down, YOU know the answer to this!. It may not be anorexia, bulimia instead!?, but either way, with or without the psychiatrist, you know whats going on with your food intake and your body and we on this board don't know the real you and what you're eating!. Sorry to intrude, but you have other posts where you pretty much answered this one for me by mentioning your caloric intake on an answer of yours!. Maybe a different shrink might help!? maybe male!? i dunno, i hope you can get help, i'm sure it's very difficult!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It takes time to have all symptoms and sometimes
people don't experience all symptoms

Please eat McDonalds!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
