Could it be a hernia?!

Question: Could it be a hernia!?
About a year ago, I stepped off a dry creek bank backwards and thought I had a footing!. I ended up stepping down about 3 ft!. Within an hour, I couldn't hardly walk because my leg/hip/abdominal area hurt so bad!. I don't have insurance so I never went to the docter!. Now everytime I take too big of a step, I get a lot of pain!. Last night I went to catch a ball and stepped out just a bit too far and today I have had severe pains in my hip/abdominal area only on the left side!. Any ideas on what it could be!? Does it sound like a hernia!?
I think I'm gonna try to see the doc this week!.
When sitting, I can't lean to the left side at all because it's really painful!
Thanks!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
You've probably strained or injured something, but it doesn't sound like a hernia!. A hernia usually produces some sort of swelling (unless it's very small), and you can sometimes feel something shifting inside from time to time!. The pain from a hernia (if any) is likely to be more localized as well!. In any case, your doctor can check you for a hernia very quickly!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

it sounds like a hernia!. go to a free clinic and be checked out, if you dont have insurance!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
