Implanon implant?!

Question: Implanon implant!?
My daughter has had an Implanon contraceptive implant for 6 years!. It was due to be replaced this month, but now she wants to try to become pregnant!. She says she is just going to leave the rod in her arm, but it seems to me that it should come out!. I'd imagine that the rod would still have some hormones in it!. Any clues about this !?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
I am a little bit confused because Implanon is only approved for 3 years of use!.!.!. has she had two!? Either way, I know that she should have it removed if she wants to conceive!. There are bad side effects from leaving Implanon in too long!.

From the Implanon website: "Failure to remove IMPLANON? may result in infertility, pregnancy outside of the womb (ectopic pregnancy), or inability to stop a drug-related adverse event!."

I hope you can help convince your daughter that she needs to have it removed! And I wish her luck and a healthy pregnancy!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
