Is it normal to gain weight with an ovarian cyst?!

Question: Is it normal to gain weight with an ovarian cyst!?
I've been diagnosed by ultrasound with a 2" wide ovarian cyst!. Along with some pain, I've also gained weight around the same time!. (Flucuates between 4-7 lbs!.) Also, most of the weight seems to be in the belly area, and no, I am not pregnant!. Has anyone else experienced this!? I can't find much about it online, and my doctor seems to blow it off!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I have never heard of a correlation between ovarian cysts and weight gain!. I have had some pretty large cysts since I was about 11 and at one point they counted over 20 small cysts on my ovaries!. I never noticed any weight gain around that time, and I do not know of any reason that it would make you retain weight!. But 4-7 pounds is not very significant!. Many women fluctuate 3-5 pounds on a daily basis!. If you are noticing weight in your belly, it is most likely water weight and bloating!. There are just so many reasons to have put on a few pounds that fluctuate, and I just don't think that ovarian cysts would be the cause!. I have never heard this and it just doesn't make sense!. I am sorry for the pain you are in, and I definitely wouldn't be too concerned about the weight!. Best wishes!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You can gain a little weight from having a cyes but not4-7 pounds, most of the time its just a2-3 pounds from the cyst itself, but the rest just could be water build-up!.DOnt worry to much about it!. the doctor will want you too take Bith-controll pills,to reduces the cyst, take care,Www@Answer-Health@Com
